Ergonomix being distributed by Pentel won a "Grand Prix Award" on top of a Category Award for the First "Serai Grand Prix" Event organised by Super Premium Magazine "Serai" published by Shogakukan.

"Serai" is the famous life style magazine sold to public for middle to high aged generation (Serai Generation) and this time has made an event of "Serai Grand Prix" by selecting and awarding goods or services which give the generation more helpful and valuable effect.
After selecting 13 goods, services or persons by readers' votes from among many featured articles in the past 12 months, Special Selection Committee by three prominent figures in Art, Design and Medical Fields has chosen Grand Prix Award as well as individual awards.
Pentel Ergonomix was honoured on both by the selection after Ergonomix was highly appraised by the committee in its function and design.

Ergonomix was appeared as a new product in 2002 JAPEX followed by its winning of Gold Award for New Products at Tokyo International Gift Show 2002 in April and also has achieved to win the Stationery of the Year Grand Prix at ISOT 2002 in July.
The Serai Grand Prix Award is one of the epoch making during the series of award takings in its history.

Pentel Ergonomix explained in the magazine;

It is a ballpoint pen or automatic pencil with easy gripping, easy writing and non-fatigue.
The middle grip can be shifted up and down so that the grip can be rested at bridge part between thumb and forefinger.
Pen's normal grip by three fingers as well as a middle grip by the bridge part makes the writing free from extra burden to fingers and shoulders.

Pentel Ergonomix is very easy to hold and easy to write as shown on its name based on Human Ergonomic Theory. When you hold the pen the main rubber grip fits perfectly to contacting fingers due to its exquisite softness.
And yet by taking odd design free and far from the traditional pen shape its existence has ever increased. You can easily pick up this pen among many pens in the desk. This is the appealing point.

 

Mr. Oshima, Brain Biochemist, member of this committee, commented;

Pentel Ergonomic would give a good stimulation to brain. The traditional three-finger-grip of pen can be changed to four point holds. The new writing instrument requires absolutely new way of use, which is strongly recommended to the Serai Generation. You can write beautiful letters and for this purpose you may think more about further device such as correcting your writing posture which is very good for your brain.
