| How to create your very own t-shirt design using Fabric Fun |
| To make your own t-shirt, just follow Pentel’s step by step guide... |
| 1. |
Lay your t-shirt on a flat surface |
| 2. |
Draw your design onto the fabric using the coloured pastels provided, (if you’re not quite sure what colours you want to use, perhaps use a pencil to start with and then go back and colour in your image, or try it on paper first) |
| 3. |
If you aren’t completely happy with your design, or would like to start it again, just wash the t-shirt – wait for it to dry and start over |
| 4. |
Once you have finished your design, iron over your image, putting a tea towel between the fabric and the iron, then you can wear it and set a new fashion trend!! |
| Just before you get started on your design, check out our top tips below: |
Place a piece of card inside your t-shirt, so that when you start to draw, the t-shirt is kept straight and steady |
If you’re not quite sure what colours you want to use, perhaps use a pencil to start with and then go back and colour in your image |
Finally, as the t-shirt is white, if you smudge some of the colours, or get marks on the t-shirt, then rub them off using an eraser |
| The top tips above can be applied to any natural, absorbent material such as cotton or linen. |
Or why not try customising the following with your design? |
Pillow case |
Sheets |
Tablecloths |
Backpacks |
Fancy dress/costume making |
Handkerchiefs |
Napkins |
Remember if you don’t like your design or want to do something different, then just wash off the pastels and start again, and once you’re happy with your design, just iron over the image and away you go with setting a new fashion trend!
